The natural gas and electrical power will both be shut off between 7 and 8 a.m. on the morning of Friday, September 9 in the Richard J. Renaud Science Complex on the Loyola Campus.
Both shutdowns are expected last for about 60 minutes. Shutdowns are necessary due to the ongoing renovation of the Refectory.
Natural gas, services affected:
• Laboratory gas
• Heater producing vapor used for autoclaves and cage washing.
Emergency power, services affected:
• SP5, bloc A emergency power panels
• Ventilation hoods: hoods could be used for storage. Doors cannot be opened during shutdown.
• Ventilation, Animal facilities: Minimal ventilation will be maintained, but air change rate will vary.
