Frank Chalk, director of Concordia’s Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS), comments on the developments in the case of Léon Mugesera, a Rwandese man accused by his home country of having pronounced a speech which incited genocide. Mugesera is currently living in Canada and was set to be deported to Rwanda today: La Presse.

Chalk believes Canada should give the United Nations time to investigate the case of Léon Mugesera. Coverage appeared in  Global News, The Winnipeg Free Press, Metro Ottawa, The Waterloo Record, Newstalk 650 and The Bulletin.

The United Nations will conclude that Léon Mugesera does not risk being tortured if he is sent back to Rwanda according to Chalk: The Sun Times, Canoe and TVA Nouvelles.
