Concordia University will bestow three honorary doctorates during fall convocation ceremonies to be held November 1 in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts (175 Ste. Catherine Street West).
Brian O’Neill Gallery, president of the Canadian Irish Studies Foundation and the Saint-Patrick Society, for his exceptional contribution to the vitality of the political, social and economic life of Quebec, as well as for his success in building bridges between different cultures and communities.
10a.m. – Faculty of Arts and Science
Victor (Vic) Vogel, musician, composer and jazzman, for his generosity as a spirited mentor and ambassador of music, particularly jazz, over the past decades, as well as for his humanitarian work bringing musicianship and instruments to developing nations.
3p.m. – Faculty of Fine Arts / Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science
Joelle Berdugo Adler, founder of ONEXONE (One by One) and president of Diesel Canada, in recognition of her tireless devotion to changing the lives of people in need here in Canada and around the world through her passion and philanthropy.
