After four days of intense competition, HEC Montréal has won the 27th John Molson MBA International Case Competition. The winner was one of three teams that made it to today’s final round, where competitors presented their solutions to a business case involving Sula Vineyards, with focus on the company’s growth strategy.

36 teams from around the world took part in the Competition. Winners were announced during a final banquet sponsored by Bombardier and held at the Hilton Montréal Bonaventure in the evening of Saturday January 12th.

1st place: HEC Montréal (awarded a $10 000 bursary from Export and Development Canada)
2nd place: FSA – Université Laval (awarded a $7000 bursary from McCarthy-Tetrault)
3rd place: John Molson School of Business – Concordia University (awarded a $5000 bursary from Birks)

Launched in 1981, Concordia University’s John Molson MBA International Case Competition is recognized as the largest and most prestigious of its kind. Throughout this week, 36 teams of four contestants from nine different countries will be recommending the best possible solutions to real-world business problems, and will be judged by more than 200 prominent members of the Montreal business community.
