A Benefit Concert for Concordia's Fine Arts Faculty and the Orchestre MÈtropolitain du Grand Montrèal

On Sunday, May 6th, Concordia University will present its annual Hitting the High Notes benefit concert to support two of Montreal's cultural communities: Concordia Fine Arts and the Orchestre MÈtropolitain du Grand Montrèal. The evening will feature some of the most talented and esteemed performers in the world of opera, and will take place at 7:30p.m. at the Notre-Dame Basilica (110 Notre-Dame St. West).
Performers at this year's event include: Maria Guleghina (soprano), Neil Shicoff (tenor), Bryn Terfel (bass-baritone), Gianna Corbisiero (soprano), Irina Mishura, (mezzo-soprano) and Marc Hervieux (tenor). They will be accompanied by the Orchestre MÈtropolitain du Grand Montrèal, conducted by Yannick NÈzet-SÈguin, considered one of the most promising young conductors of the 21st century.
The event has raised more than half a million dollars over the past two years for a Fine Arts graduate studies endowment in seven programs at Concordia. Concordia Fine Arts passionately champions the arts as a vital activity that shapes and reflects contemporary culture. It is known to foster innovative research and teaching excellence across a diverse range of fine arts disciplines.
