Workshop: « Cultural Diversity, Identities And Globalization » Organized By The International Political Science Association (IPSA)

On October 20th 2005, the 33rd session of UNESCO's General Conference adopted the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions.

Where do we stand one year later?

The International Political Science Association is organizing, on October 12th and 13th, a workshop on ´ Cultural diversity, identities and globalization ª.

Among the participants, we are honoured to welcome: Mr. Clèment Duhaime, Administrator of l'Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, who will open the debate on cultural diversity and the ìfrancophonieî. Mr. Jacques Chagnon, Quebec Liberal Party's Member for Westmount_Saint-Louis and Chair of the Committe on Education, Mr. Ahmed Djoghlaf, Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity and Mr. Ivan Bernier, Emeritus Law professor at Laval University and an international renowned specialist in cultural diversity will also participate in the debates about the ratification processes of UNESCO's cultural diversity Convention.
