Concordia University hosts the Canadian Solar Buildings Conference

Concordia University will host the Canadian Solar Buildings Conference from August 20th to 24th. This is the 31st conference of the Solar Energy Society of Canada Inc (SESCI) jointly held with the 1st conference of the newly formed Solar Buildings Research Network, a network of 24 researchers from across Canada who are working to develop the solar buildings of tomorrow. The conference will take place on the 7th floor of the Henry F. Hall Building (1455 de Maisonneuve Blvd. West.), and will bring together leading experts from Canada and around the world to discuss all aspects of solar housing, from solar electricity to design issues to finding ways to encourage Canadians to go solar.

During the conference there will also be a free, public event aimed at promoting solar energy:

A seminar bringing together experts to discuss issues related to the use of solar energy in houses and buildings, with perspectives from building owners, researchers as well as from Hydro Quebec.

Which will bring together a select group of Quebec manufacturers and distributors together with companies from the rest of Canada who will be in a position to answer questions on the capabilities of current technologies in meeting our current energy needs.
