MONTREAL/April 5, 2006—
Concordia's Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Studio Arts program is on the move in every sense of the word. Not only are they in the process of relocating their studios and classrooms from the downtown Bourget Building to a series of buildings on the Sir George Williams Campus, but 39 MFA students are also moving their artóto the streets.
On Saturday, April 8th and Sunday, April 9th, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., ten white cube trucks filled with the students' artworks will be parked in two locations: on de Maisonneuve Blvd. West, between Bishop and Mackay streets and on St Catherine West between Guy and Mackay streets. With the truck doors open wide, the public is invited to examine these creations as they slowly move from their old home to their new ones. The vernissage will take place Saturday at 5:00 p.m., at the Sculpture Garden in front of the EV Building (1515, St Catherine Street W.).
