On Saturday, January 28th, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Concordia University will host Open House 2006, in on both its Loyola and Sir George Williams campuses. Concordia Shuttle Buses will make the trip between both campuses approximately every 20 minutes.

Visitors can tour the state-of-the-art Richard J. Renaud Science Complex at Loyola. For the first time, the new Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (EV) will host activities along with those in the J.W. McConnell and Guy Metro buildings downtown. Professors, students and staff will be on hand to provide information on university programs and services, as well as social and cultural events and athletics.

A new addition to the Open House, and a first for Quebec, is Portfolio Day in Montreal, which will take place in the visual arts section of the EV Building from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The goal of the event is to bring together students and experienced university representatives and professors, who review artwork, offer critique, discuss university plans, and share information about their schools. The event is co-organized by Concordia Fine Arts, the Nova Scotia College of Arts and Design (Halifax) and the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design (Vancouver).
