MONTREAL/June 20, 2005—
Caroline Caron, a graduate student in the joint Communication Studies PhD program, has won a Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Scholarship.
Caroline Caron's thesis concerns the impact of the media on identity construction and the social behaviour of adolescents. Ms. Caron will build a case study of young readers of French-language women's magazines to identify, among other things, the type of reading they do.
