MONTREAL/May 24, 2005—
In a ceremony at the National Assembly of Quebec on Thursday, May 26, 2005, the President and Vice-Chancellor of Concordia University, Dr. Frederick Lowy, will be honored for the broad range of his accomplishments and for his generous contributions to the field of higher education.
The ceremony honoring Dr. Lowy will be web-cast live on the National Assembly website at http://www.assnat.qc.ca/fra/travaux/Debats/av-an.shtml. It will also be televised on the parliamentary channel (Videotron channel 69), at approximately 10:45 a.m.
Following the session, Dr. Lowy will be invited to the Salon de la Prèsidence, where he will be awarded the Mèdaille d'honneur de l'Assemblèe nationale.
