Concordia University Hosts 18th Annual Conference on Gazotechnologies

MONTREAL/May 12, 2005—

On Tuesday, May 17, Concordia University will host the 18th annual conference on gazotechnologies. It will take place from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the Richard J. Renaud Science Complex on the Loyola Campus (7141 Sherbrooke St. West).

The conference, Le bleu à l’heure du vert, will bring together a number of energy decision-makers as well as natural as industry suppliers and will provide an opportunity to learn about beneficial innovations, applications and attractive opportunities. The day will be dedicated to conferences, exhibitions and workshops, as well as a demonstration of liquefied natural gas.

In the afternoon, participants will be invited to make a technical visit of the Richard J. Renaud Science Complex, which has been recognized as a state-of-the-art facility by a number of organizations. It was awarded the 2005 ASHRAE technology award (1st place in the Institutional Building Category), a bronze plaque from Natural Resources Canada’s Commercial Building Incentive Program (CBIP) as well as the Énergia de l’AQME trophy from the Association québécoise pour la maîtrise de l'énergie (AQME), given during their 15th annual gala.

The conference is organized by Gaz Metro, in collaboration with the Montreal Chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Association québécoise du gaz naturel (AQGN), the Natural Technologies Center (NGTC) and the Association québécoise de la maîtrise de l’énergie (AQME) will present the 18th edition of the Symposium sur les gazotechnologies.
