In collaboration with the cultural services of the Consulate of Algeria in Montreal, le Festival du Monde Arabe will host for the first time Mohamed Benguettaf, one of the greatest figures of the Algerian theatre, who will present to the public his Fatma monologue on Friday, November 5, within the framework of the fifth edition of the Salon de la culture.

Mohamed Benguettaf was one of the founders of Masrah El Kal‚a ñ Citadel Theatre. He has translated and adapted works by Nazim Hikmet, Kateb Yacine and Ray Bradbury, an experiment which enabled him to perfect his style and earned him a place among the major playwrights of his generation.
