Deregulation, privatization and intense global competition in the aviation industry have led to a critical need for aviation management training. More and more companies are realizing that in order to remain viable entities in this volatile industry, managers and decision makers must have advanced training in aviation management.
The John Molson School of Business at Concordia University is pleased to announce a partnership agreement with the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, School of Economics and Management (BUAA-SEM), the leading aviation university in China. Under the terms of this long term professional and commercial partnership the JMSB will assist BUAA-SEM in the delivery of a minimum of five courses per 12 month period in China. The JMSB will also deliver a portion of its Aviation MBA Program to BUAA-SEM students via the Global Executive format which is a combination of on-campus sessions in Montreal and distance training using state-of-the-art communications technology developed by the JMSB.
The John Molson School of Business at Concordia University began offering the Aviation MBA in 1992, in partnership with IATA, to provide graduate level training in aviation management. Since 1992 the curriculum has evolved to integrate aviation management training relevant to a broad range of aviation companies and organizations such as airports, civil aviation authorities and, manufacturers and suppliers. The MBA program is offered in two formats: the resident format which requires full time studies in Montreal or the Global executive format which allows students to maintain their full-time careers. In response to market demands the JMSB will offer a graduate diploma and a graduate certificate in aviation management as of September 2005.
BUAA, founded in 1952, was one of the first 22 universities in China and is considered one of the country's key universities. The JMSB is one of Canada's leading business schools and a world leader in aviation management education. In addition, the JMSB offers a full range of undergraduate and graduate programs including specialized programs in investment management, sport and not-for-profit administration.
