Nathalie Garneau
The position Max Stern Curator is dedicated to the Gallery's Permanent Collection.
Nathalie Garneau has an MA in Art History from the University of Montreal. She has been a curatorial assistant in the curatorial department of the MusÈe d'art contemporain. She has also worked as a guide at the MAC, the National Gallery of Canada and the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography. She is currently Programming Coordinator at Articule in Montreal.
Visiting Curator of Contemporary Art
Nicole Gingras
She is the first Visiting Curator of Contemporary Art at the Gallery for 2005-2006. This nomination in contemporary art will be renewed every two years and will give an independent curator the opportunity to produce two exhibitions at the Gallery during that time.
Since the middle of the 1980s, Nicole Gingras has been active as an independent curator, a critic and an editor in Montreal, Canada and in Europe. She has produced numerous exhibitions and publications that are striking for the subtlety of their discourse and the elegance of their presentation. In 1996, she founded les Editions Nicole Gingras.
Art Education Coordinator
Piera Palucci
Piera Palucci has an MA in Art Education from Concordia University. She has worked as an Art Educator at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, and has also been involved with community groups and participated in Art Education research projects. Piera has been with the Gallery for several years, and has contributed to the development of the role of Education in the Gallery.
Bruno J. Pateras Internship
Susan Aberman
A student in the Graduate Program in Management and Administration - Not for Profit Organizations, Susan Aberman is the Bruno J. Pateras Intern at the Gallery for 2003-04. This year the internship focused on strategies and practices in fundraising at the Gallery.
Susan Aberman has an extensive business experience. She has worked in business development, sales, marketing in Canada, the U.S. and in Europe and has recently turned her attention to not for profit organizations.
Iris Westerberg Fund and Samuel Schechter Exhibition Series
These two funds will be dedicated to exhibition programming at the Gallery.
