MONTREAL/September 11, 2002—
Concordia University will hold a number of events today, to remember those who died in the terrorist attacks last September 11th and all who have died tragically since and to reflect on the impact of September 11th on the world.
A multi-media display affirming our common humanity will be set-up in the atrium of the J.W. McConnell Building (1400 de Maisonneuve Blvd. West). A quiet space has been set aside for reflection and prayer and everyone is welcome to take a few moments of private reflection and express prayers and hopes in writing on our Wall of Peace. At 1 pm., a communal, multi-faith gathering will be held in the atrium.
On the Loyola Campus (7141 Sherbrooke St. West), a place for prayer and reflection will be set up in the Loyola Chapel from 11:00 am until noon, followed by a mass at 12:05 pm.
Today's commemorative events have been organized by the Concordia Hillel Jewish Students Union, the Muslim Students' Association, the United States of America Students' Association and Concordia's Multi-faith Chaplaincy
