Dean Anvari's departure follows a year of intense activity, including a major fundraising campaign, a name change, the launch of three new programs, the establishment of four research chairs and further accreditation for the business school.

We will continue the momentum that we have developed this year with solid improvements to our programs, our research profile and the quality of our graduates.î

Dr. Anvari said his term at Concordia has been ìa privilege and an honour. The hard work that we have undertaken as a team has proved fruitful and I am pleased that Dr. Tomberlin has agreed to take on the additional responsibilities necessary to see that it continues.î

Dr. Anvari has been the Dean of the John Molson School of Business since 1995. He holds an MBA from Sir George Williams (Concordia University), as well as an MSc and PhD from Case Western Reserve University. He has been a professor of finance at the School since 1988.
