Supreme court justice to receive honorary doctorate

MONTREAL/November 12, 2000—

The Honourable Claire L'Heureux-DubÈ will receive an honorary degree at Concordia University's fall convocation ceremony to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, in Salle Wilfrid Pelletier at Place des Arts.

Mme. L'Heureux-DubÈ is a Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada and a leading thinker in family law and social justice. The longest-serving judge on Canada's highest court, she is a legal trailblazer and unwavering defender of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Joining our distinguished guest will be many of the 1,100 students graduating from Concordia's four Faculties and the School of Graduate Studies, as well as their family and friends.
