Important notice to international students about off-campus housing
The Dean of Students office can provide assistance if you encounter difficulties
In the last few days, media have reported that some international students have faced challenges with off-campus housing or homestay arrangements.
While homestay programs are contracted by students and facilitated and overseen by third-party providers, we remain concerned about our students' well being.
Some students may hesitate to launch complaints for fear of compromising their academic or immigration status. We assure you that this is not the case.
Concordia provides housing information and guidance to international students before their departure for Montreal and peer support seminars are offered after their arrival.
The Concordia Student Union Housing and Job Bank is also an excellent resource for off-campus accommodation options.
We urge you to take advantage of Concordia's student services or contact the Dean of Students office for immediate assistance.
Sincerely,
Andrew Woodall, Dean of Students
