Students learned how to eat healthy on a budget at the Frugal Food Challenge cooking class, part of Financial Literacy Week at Concordia November 18 to 22, 2013.  Health Services director Melanie Drew shared practical tips for preparing low-cost, nutritious meals that are easy to make at home.

The Frugal Food Challenge continues until December 13, 2013. Send in your best healthy recipe that can be made for under $15 to: help@faao.concordia.ca for a chance to win a slow-cooker and hand blender.

Contest closes December 13, 2013, at 5 p.m. Health Services will pick a winning recipe based on best value for cost, nutritional content and ease of preparation. All decisions final; winner to be announced in January 2014.
