June 24 and July 1: what’s open, what’s closed at Concordia

Find out which services will be reduced or unavailable on Canada Day and Quebec’s national holiday

No classes or other instructional activities will occur on the Fête nationale du Québec and Canada Day, which take place Friday, June 24 and Friday, July 1 respectively.

Only staff, faculty and graduate students with appropriate Concordia-issued identification will have access to offices, studios and laboratories. Undergraduate students needing access will require a letter from their departments.


Closures

 

Other relevant information

Athletic facilities

  • Le Centre (Loyola Campus) will be closed June 24 and open July 1 for Concordia sports camp participants only.
  • Le Gym (Sir George Williams Campus) will be closed.


Libraries

The R. Howard Webster and Georges P. Vanier libraries will be closed. The Webster Library will close at 5 p.m. on June 23 and will reopen on Saturday, June 25 at 9 a.m. For more information, please see the Library summer hours.


Food and beverage services

All retail food services locations will be closed.

 

Parking

  • Parking in the J.W. McConnell Building will be closed.
  • Loyola Campus parking will be open.
  • Faubourg Building parking will be open.

 

Tunnel access

  • Tunnels on the Sir George Williams Campus will be closed from 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 23 until 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 25. They will also be closed from 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 30 until 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 2.
