June 24 and July 1: what’s open, what’s closed at Concordia

Find out which services will be reduced or unavailable on Canada Day and Quebec’s national holiday

Concordia is observing a holiday schedule on Wednesday, June 24, and Wednesday, July 1. No classes or other instructional activities will occur, though certain exceptions may apply, such as Executive MBA and privatized courses.

Only staff, faculty and graduate students with appropriate university-issued identification will be able to access offices, studios and laboratories; undergraduate students will require a letter from their respective departments.

The following services will be closed on June 24 and July 1:

  • Campus Retail Stores
  • Ed Meagher Arena
  • FOFA Gallery
  • Food service units
  • Georges P. Vanier Library
  • Health Services
  • Le Centre (PERFORM Centre)
  • Le Gym
  • Leonard and Bina Ellen Art Gallery
  • Loyola Gymnasium
  • R. Howard Webster Library
  • Shuttle buses

Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program will remain available to employees around the clock, seven days a week. For support and service, contact Concordia’s external provider, Shepell-fgi, at the following numbers:

Parking

  • The Faubourg parking garage will remain open with the usual schedule.
  • The J.W. McConnell Building (LB) parking garage will be closed both days.
  • Loyola parking will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight on both holidays.

Tunnel access

  • The tunnels on the Sir George Williams Campus will close at 11 p.m. on June 23 and reopen at 6:30 a.m. on June 25.
  • The tunnels will be closed from 11 p.m. on June 30 to 6:30 a.m. on July 2.

Multi-faith Chaplaincy
