A visionary scholar, mentor, friend and devout member of the Jesuit community, Fr. Jack launched the first university-level communication studies program in Canada 50 years ago, an achievement Concordia celebrated in September in his presence.
Sadly, Fr. Jack’s health deteriorated rapidly recently and he passed away November 7.
A memorial mass will be held at the Loyola Chapel in Montreal on November 28 at 10:30 a.m.
The service will be followed by a reception on campus at the Loyola Jesuit Hall and Conference Centre.
