Concordia University celebrates the arts through partnership with 32nd International Festival of Films on Art

Montréal, February 25, 2014 – For the fifth year in a row, Concordia University will partner with the International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) for its 32nd edition taking place from March 20 to 30.

The collaboration between Concordia University and FIFA reflects the importance of arts and cultural in today’s society, and a common desire to bring the world to our doorstep. The intention is to generate interest and enthusiasm among Montreal’s various cultural groups and members of the university community regarding works featuring art and artists from Montreal and elsewhere.

Nearly 266 films from more than 36 countries are on the festival program this year. A varied selection of films from the rich programming will be shown at venues across the city including Concordia’s J.A. DeSève Cinema (1400 De Maisonneuve Blvd. West).

Also on the program is the premiere screening of Beat Generation, Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg and William Burroughs, the story of the deep and long-lasting friendship shared by the three authors who gave rise to a distinctive literary movement.

This screening will take place:
