A Cabane à sucre is also known as sap house, sugar cabin and sugar shack
Typical dishes served at a Cabane à sucre range from ham, bacon, sausages, baked beans, scrambled eggs, pancakes sugar pie and taffy on the snow
Quebec generates two-thirds of the globe’s maple syrup!
It takes roughly 40 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of maple syrup
Maple syrup does not freeze
Maple trees can live over 200 years and have been tapped for more than 150 years
