Reporting directly to the Manager, Donor Engagement and Stewardship, the incumbent is responsible for the development and the implementation of donor-centered, University-wide recognition programs and events to enhance the fundraising objectives of the University.
- Recommend new programs, publications, communication tools and activities to grow and/or streamline the current portfolio of recognition activities and stewardship programs.
- Manage and improve the established donor relations and stewardship programs and activities.
- Recommend policies and best practices related to donor’s recognition and stewardship, in collaboration with the central office and the faculty-based fundraising and alumni development staff.
- Recommend and implement a strategic plan and operations manual that will identify all the necessary actions, documentation, technology, tools, recognition and stewardship activities required in a major fundraising campaign.
- Recommend improve and implement appropriate mechanisms to acknowledge, recognize and steward past and current donors at all levels.
- Recommend systematic, effective and appropriate stewardship practices for donors and endowments, academic position and annually funded initiatives.
- Act as a resource person for all University on donors’ recognition and stewardship issues and activities.
- Evaluate the impact and the ROI of donor recognition and stewardship strategies.
- Recommend and implement creative programs that will distinguish the University from others, in collaboration with other stakeholders
- In collaboration with the Manager, Donor Engagement and Stewardship and the Manager, Events, conceive of creative recognition events and monitor their execution by the Events team.
- Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of relevant work experience; experience in a university environment an asset.
- Very good knowledge (Level 5) of spoken and written English and good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken French to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
- Good knowledge (Intermediate level) of Word, Excel and PowerPoint (to create and update documents, spreadsheets and presentations).
- Knowledge of imaging software (e.g., Photoshop, etc.) desirable.
- Flexibility, attention to detail, ability to set goals and achieve success.
- Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must enjoy working as part of a team.
- Service oriented attitude is essential.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle several projects and portfolios simultaneously.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends to attend meetings and events.
$65,444.99 – $78,173.81 per annum
