The atmosphere was festive on December 15, as representatives from TRAC (the labour union local comprising Concordia’s teaching and research assistants) and the university met to sign their new collective agreement.
Each party is proud of what they accomplished together.
“This agreement represents a lot of hard work from both negotiating teams to reach our goals,” says Nader Jafari Nodoushan, president of TRAC.
“I’m looking forward to maintaining the mutually respectful relationship we’ve built with the university in the coming years.”
Roger Côté, vice-president of Services, echoes these sentiments.
“I’m pleased to be signing this agreement with TRAC. It demonstrates how well both bargaining teams worked together to accomplish their objectives.”
The agreement was approved by union membership and the university’s Board of Governors earlier this fall. It will be posted on the Concordia web pages shortly.
