Theatre (minor)
Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA)
Why study Theatre?
Explore theatre as an art form and an instrument for social and personal change. You’ll start by examining the development of the physical stage and the history of theatre within its social context. By undertaking a survey of current theatre across the country, you’ll deepen your understanding of the issues and challenges facing Canadian theatre today.
Theatre minors also have room to gain a basic grounding in design, production, performance, and playwriting. You’ll also experience being part of a group ensemble working towards presenting a dramatic work.
The Minor in Theatre (24 credits) is designed to be a general introduction to the field of Theatre. The Minor may be combined with a Major or Specialization in another discipline.
This program is only available for Fall admission.
