Marion Wagschal: pensées sur papier / thoughts on paper

June 25 - September 12, 2015Opening: June 25, 2015 from 6 to 8:30 pm

Can you tell us more about your relationship with drawing?

Drawing is a kind of secret practice. I am constantly keeping little notebooks and making drawings from observations, long studies and quick impressions, keeping a log of experiences, ideas, conversations, and comments that people make. I make drawings that evolve over a period of days and something emerges that surprises me, that has a certain power. I end up with many references from comic book characters, the news, memories and the history of drawing. Sometimes, I do large-scale drawings of a very small moment. Many are works related to paintings.*
