Jeri Brown presents her research "How Can a Jazz Singer Improvise Through Vocalecosystems" at the Canada International Conference on Education

Music faculty member Jeri Brown will present a paper of her ongoing research in vocal improvisation titled "How Can a Jazz Singer Improvise Through Vocalecosystems" at the Canada International Conference on Education (CICE) on June 23 at the University of Toronto.  The published paper is part of Brown's ongoing research on vocal improvisation, which was originally presented at Salford University in Manchester, U.K. and Georgia State University, both in 2013.

Brown will also chair a session titled  "Learning / Teaching Methodologies and Assessment" at the CICE 2015 conference.

Jeri Brown is an associate professor in the Department of Music.
