Research & creation
The Faculty of Fine Arts is committed to expanding and strengthening the role of research in the Faculty. We work closely with Concordia’s Office of Research to support the Faculty’s researcher/creators in their individual and collective efforts to secure funding and launch successful research programs.
Four major scholarly publications are housed in the Faculty of Fine Arts.

- Canadian Review of Art Education, published by the Canadian Society for Education through Art
- Journal of Canadian Art History
- Recherches sémiotiques · Semiotic inquiry (RS·SI), published by the Canadian Semiotic Association
Concordia University, in association with McGill University and UQAM, publishes Transmutations, an online journal devoted to critical practice-based reflection of media and performance.
