A concert by an jazz ear-training class and first year arranging students? Yes! While a mathematics student learns the elegance of the formula, the business student studies cases, and the engineer plays with physics, these jazz students learn their craft through performance. They learn to have harmonic progressions, melodic contours and instrumental colours at their beck and call, and can be wonderfully entertaining in the process. Robin Chemtov leads his students through the results of their efforts in this unique showcase of the jazz process. Take a break from the end of term with this new event. Hear how the jazz side lives and learns.
