You are invited to the 1st public performance of Pro Bono Playback!

Bring a personal story to tell or simply watch a story be instantly transformed by The Pro Bono Playback Theatre Ensemble.

Playback Theatre, created by Jonathan Fox, in the 1970s, is a form of improvisational theatre in which members of the audience tell personal stories that are, then, played back for them by a team of actors and musicians. It is a form of theatre which essentially combines art and healing in its process.

The Pro Bono Playback Theatre Ensemble was established by Dr. Stephen Snow in Fall 2014, as part of a research project. The ensemble is made up of seven Drama Therapy students (Alexandra Bolton, Katia El-Eter Reem Hashem, Michelle Kestle, Charles Smith Metellus, Shannon Rzucidlo, and Charlotte Steuter-Martin), two Music Therapy students (Eliane Gendron and Alana Goldscheid) and one student from Contemporary Dance (Alisa Haugen-Strand). Professor Eric Mongerson, from Theatre, is the company’s Technical/Design advisor.

December 4th will be the first public performance of Pro Bono.
