Choeur Maha, Directed by Kathy Kennedy, Will Perform New Show Songs From Snowon

Chœur Maha, under the direction of part-time music faculty member Kathy Kennedy, will perform its new show Songs from Snow on Saturday December 12 at 8 p.m. at the Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel (400 Saint-Paul Street East, Montreal). Chœur Maha celebrates its 25th anniversary this year by presenting an eclectic repertoire including pieces from the medieval and renaissance periods, a haunting Estonian song and Canadian contemporary works including the Snow Angels song cycle by Sarah Quartel and Murray Schaffer’s ethereal composition Snowforms. The opening act of the concert will feature special guests the Naada Yoga Choir. A registered charity organization, Chœur Maha is well known for its support of women’s organizations throughout Montreal and during this event funds will be raised for Chez Doris women’s shelter.
