Join Cinema Politica Concordia as we launch our Indigenous-focused program First Peoples, First Screens. In partnership with Canada Council for the Arts and Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), and with consultation from Indigenous filmmakers and media artists Alanis Obomsawin, Alethea Arnaquq-Baril and Tracey Deer, First Peoples, First Screens showcases emerging and established Indigenous artists working in Quebec and Canada.

This special inaugural event will feature Indigenous shorts from across Turtle Island as well as the Montreal premiere of Tunniit: Retracing the lines of Inuit Tattoos by Arnaquq-Baril, who will also be the evening’s guest speaker.
