Jazz improvisation is a forum in which jazz musicians hang out and converse. As with all human connections the greatest risks taken also yield the greatest rewards. With disciplined practice, the language must be mastered and applied with the aim of communicating directly, clearly, and with the spirit of unity. Josh Rager directs the combos of Improv I as they navigate the pitfalls and challenges of improvisation creating unique and spontaneous music with each other.  Directed by Josh Rager.
