Art Crush is an interdisciplinary project created in 2013, combining visual arts, instrumental music and dance on stage together.

Their performance is an invitation to experience a repertoire of classical and contemporary music through the prism of other art forms such as the visual arts and dance. The result can be described as an on-stage visual ‘transmission’ of mood and emotions from one artistic discipline to another and back again, forming a chain reaction or cycle of inspiration.

When visual artists and dancers of Art Crush join forces with violinist Marc Djokic and Ensemble Caprice, be prepared to expect the unexpected! The programme will include the famous Devil’s Trill by Tartini, concertos by Vivaldi and the premiere performance of a new noncerto composition by Matthias Maute – all enhanced by a sweeping range of colours and movements.

This project features a visual artist from Concordia Studio Arts and undergraduate and alumni dancers and choreographers from the Dance department.
