Dr. Pezolet will be chairing a lecture as part of this year's Hypothèse Symposium. With an overarching theme of “Fabricating Worlds: Mettre en scène la ville et l'histoire”, two doctoral candidates will present their research on architecture and the way in which it helps shape a location. Josianne Poirier, who is completing her degree at Université de Montréal will present her paper Réenchanter la ville : Les usages symboliques et esthétiques de la lumière dans l’espace public while McGill University student Braden Scott will interpret the theme through the work of Kent Monkman in Up and Coming: Architecture and Erotics in Kent Monkman’s Cinematic World.
