New blended course in Creative Arts Therapies offered in Fall 2016: CATS 210

CATS 210 – Introduction to Creative Arts Therapies

Students registered in the course are introduced to basic concepts and practices of creative arts therapies, including visual art, drama, music, and dance. Students experience blended or hybrid learning, a combination of face-to-face classroom instruction along with various media, usually online. Prof. Yehudit Silverman developed the course over two years with resources from Concordia’s Curriculum Innovation Fund (CIF) in support of the university’s Academic Plan. Hers was one of three projects accepted under the theme of blended/online learning. The course is open to undergraduate students in all four faculties. This year, the course attracted undergraduate students from Fine Arts and Arts & Sciences. The Department of Creative Arts Therapies expects CATS 210 Introduction to Creative Arts Therapies to be offered as an online course in Fall 2017.
