Concordians celebrated at CAMT Conference

Achievements of Concordia faculty and students were acknowledged at the 40th Anniversary Conference of the Canadian Association for Music Therapy (CAMT) held in Toronto, June 23-24, 2014.

Assistant Professor of Music Therapy Dr. Laurel Young received the CAMT Research and Publications award given to no more than one individual per year one for contributions made to the field of music therapy through research or publications.

Mary Parkinson, recent graduate of Concordia's Graduate Certificate in Music Therapy program and current student in Concordia's MA in Creative Arts Therapies (music therapy option), received the Fran Herman Scholarship from the Canadian Music Therapy Trust Fund (CMTTF). This scholarship is awarded to music therapy students who best exemplify the qualities of leadership, innovation, creativity and dedication to the field of music therapy.
