Provisionally entitled “Michael Morris and Vincent Trasov: Vancouver/West-Berlin”, his thesis engages with the expansion of Image Bank in West-Berlin, following Morris’s and Trasov's relocation to the city for their DAAD residency in 1980.

Burrard’s research continues the reappraisals of early Conceptual/Fluxus practices achieved by recent exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Alberta, Halifax INK, Justina M. Barnicke Gallery, Leonard & Bina Ellen Art Gallery, and the Vancouver Art Gallery, as well as the subsequent publications Traffic: Conceptual Art in Canada 1965-1980 (Arnold et al.) and Documentary Protocols (1967-1975) (Bonin et al.).
