Biography 

Burdick obtained her BA and BEd at Redeemer University (Hamilton, Ontario) in 2015. She is an Ontario Certified Teacher in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior divisions specializing in Visual Arts and History. Her research interests include African art, African history, and Education in developing countries. Burdick has an active studio practice primarily using acrylic paint, wood sculpture and knitting. Her Concordia Master’s Thesis is on the Iconography of Patrice Lumumba in 'The Congo Chronicle.' Burdick maintains close ties with the Great Lakes Region in Africa working with a Maternal Health Care program called TSAM in Rwanda.
