The PERFORM Centre of Concordia University offers Healthy Cooking classes by a registered dietitian. These classes are a fun, hands-on experience meant to equip participants with nutritious, simple and affordable meal ideas. Participants cook a meal and eat together, and receive nutrient-analyzed recipes. Classes are offered in a bilingual format for a cost of $75 plus tax.

Learning goals

  1. You will learn criteria for choosing low-sodium foods and using these in recipes and meals
  2. You will learn steps to modify recipes and reduce sodium or sugar.

Learning objectives

  1. Practice modifying one recipe to decrease either the amount of sodium or sugar per serving.
  2. Cook and/or taste two similar recipes that can be simply modified with herbs and spices to make a different meal
