The PERFORM Centre of Concordia University offers healthy cooking classes by a registered dietitian.

These classes are a fun, hands-on experience meant to equip participants with nutritious, simple and affordable meal ideas.

Participants cook a meal and eat together, and receive nutrient analyzed recipes. Classes are offered in a bilingual format for a cost of $75 + tax.

Learning goals

  1. You will learn criteria for choosing healthy fats and using these in recipes and meals
  2. You will learn steps to modify recipes and reduce fats
  3. You will learn several mindfulness strategies to help reduce overall fat eaten


Learning objectives

  1. Practice modifying one recipe to either increase omega-3 or reduce saturated fats per serving
  2. Cook and/or taste two recipes that contain omega-3 fatty acids, from fish sources and vegetable sources
  3. Cook and/or taste two recipes that are modified to reduce saturated fats
