Concordia's Department of Physics invites alumni and friends back on campus to visit its next-generation labs, learn about the department's fascinating research projects and meet promising students and its diverse faculty.

Saturday, September 24

Many long-time faculty members — Calvin S. KalmanBarry Frank, Mariana FrankSushil MisraRamesh Sharma and Joseph Shin — will be present and we expect many alumni.

Hear the latest Concordia and department news from department chair Alexandre Champagne. From our recent faculty, learn about research being conducted in biomedical physics from Claudine Gauthier  and nanoscale and particle physics from Pablo Bianucci

Also, three alumni will briefly present their career paths.

Learn how Roch leads Rogue Research into manufacturing neuronavigation products that are implemented in 450 laboratories throughout the world with applications within cognitive neuroscience, rehabilitation research and veterinary sciences. 

Daniel Grozdanov, BSc 2010
Chief Executive Officer, Imagine 360

Daniel is a biophysicist who developed a passion for photographer and videography. He’ll discuss how the problem-solving skills and technical knowledge he learned from his physics education is applied in his day-to-day as a business owner, in developing virtual reality applications and he`ll discuss how optics are used to capture 360-degree video.
