This pilot project provides a communal experience for participants who want to cook and prepare simple, nutritious and affordable meals to have on-hand throughout the week. Participants cook 5 recipes and receive 10 meals over a two-week period by cooking in alternating groups and preparing food for each other.
How it works
Week One
A group of 10-12 participants cook 5 recipes in double quantities. The second group of 10-12 participants receives the food prepared by the first group.
Week Two
The second group cooks 5 different recipes in double quantities the second week. The participants of the first group receives the food prepared by the second group.
Food can be picked up at the metabolic kitchen at the PERFORM Centre (S1.226). Participants can bring their own containers (5 containers/ week, these can be purchased, one week prior to the class by contacting the Nutrition Suite).
