A public conference by guest speaker Professor, scientist, writer & broadcaster Dr. Normand Mousseau

Dr. Mousseau is professor of Physics at Université de Montréal. He is a specialist in complex materials, energy and natural resources. He has published several books on these topics, including: ‘’La Révolution de gaz de schiste,’’ and ‘’Le Défi des ressources minières.’’ He served as co-chair on Québec’s Commission on Energy. Among his numerous public appearances, he participated in a panel of Al Gore’s Climate Change Reality Project, last July, in Toronto. Since 2011, he has been hosting the popular weekly science radio show: ‘’La Grande Équation.’’

Dr. Mousseau will speak about the challenges we face in stemming the harmful effects of Climate Change and the solutions proposed by Sustainable Canada Dialogue, a group of academics from across the country, who show us that action on this issue could enrich and transform our society. He will also review the position of the various parties on this question and discuss how they can rise up to the challenges. To be followed by a discussion period.
