About the speaker

T.L. Cowan is Chair of Experimental Pedagogies in the School of Media Studies at The New School University. Cowan's research-creation work, which focuses on trans-feminist and queer anti-racist and decolonizing performance cultures and economies, can be found on pages, stages and screens including Transgender Studies Quarterly, ephemera: theory & politics in organization, the Performance Mix Festival in New York, the Entzaubert Queer DIY Film Festival in Berlin and the Edgy Women Festival in Montreal.

Cowan is also an organizer and designer of the Feminist Technology Network (FemTechNet) and the Distributed Open Collaborative Course (DOCC), a digital connected learning experiment.
