This workshop will cover the basic concepts and tools for editing audio, for the total-beginner or the emergent audio producer. It will include an introductory training on Audacity, a free and open-source audio editing program, and a powerful tool for editing audio on a home computer. We’ll go through the process of downloading Audacity, importing audio tracks into the program, and cover the anatomy of a sound wav. We’ll learn how to edit sound files and manage multiple audio tracks, tips for organizing our audio, and how to export finished pieces. No audio editing experience necessary!
