Honourable Michael Chong

Introduction and event description

What can we do to make the House of Commons a more democratic institution? And how can we make it more representative of our interests?

In this one-day workshop, Conservative MP and former Cabinet Minister, Michael Chong, provides his take on these matters.

More specifically, in this workshop, Mr. Chong will outline his proposed reform act and share with you his reasoning behind this proposed legislation.

Also in this workshop, you will get a better sense of how Private Members' Bills evolve and how likely it is that this proposed legislation will be given Royal Assent.
